It is pretty hard to believe that once
upon a time, this great little corner eating establishment in the heart of
the downtown St. Charles shopping area was actually an
honest-to-goodness full-service filling station. Now, the only
indication of what The Filling Station Pub & Grill might have been
previously, is in the name
on the outside of the building. But just walk inside and take a look
around. The walls are covered with every imaginable sort of
memorabilia. Celebrating their 20th year in business in 2008,
the Filling Station
offers a wide range of menu items made from
scratch.

the summertime, the Filling Station serves up a huge outdoor patio where
diners can relax and enjoy a giant, juicy burger, fries and a cold drink
